Bio
After a ten-plus-year music career in Nashville, TN, Philip Ryan moved back home to South Carolina thinking he would never sing again. Philip longed to take the stage again but life’s circumstances seemed to prevent his return. In 2016, Philip met a new friend that refused to let his gift lie dormant. Philip began to sing again, playing a handful of shows and recording cover songs. In 2017, the boys sparked attention by releasing videos online. Attention began to mount as these videos gained views and likes, and in August of 2017, Philip set out on a musical journey that would eventually lead to the creation of Wet Nose Dogs.
Today, Wet Nose Dogs is considered one of the best local bands out there, playing numerous shows each week across the Carolinas. The band's momentum continues to grow as they take the road by storm. Currently featuring Philip Ryan on lead vocals, Max Jenks-Gilbert on rhythm guitar, Tyler Potts on drums, Scott Roberts on bass, and Raj Jenkins on keys, their unique take on the genres of Country, Rock, R&B, Southern Rock, Pop, and Hip Hop has broken outside of the traditional box and embodied perfectly the genre of Eclectic Soul… Southern-style, of course.
The band offer duo, trio, and full band performances for all types of occasions, ranging from regular venue gigs to private parties/weddings. Get in touch with us to inquire about booking a show.
